Florida State women’s hoops guard A.J. Alix has made a lasting impression in her only season in Tallahassee after transferring from TCU.

On Monday, Alix was among 10 finalists for the Nancy Lieberman Award, which annually goes to the nation’s best point guard. Alix was one of three finalists from the ACC, along with Duke’s Lexie Brown and Tiana Mangakahia of Syracuse.

For the season, Alix is averaging 12 points and better than seven assists per game to go with 1.7 steals. Alix is shooting 45 percent from the floor and 37 percent from downtown. The award will be given by the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in Columbus, Ohio during the Women’s Final Four on March 30. No FSU player has ever won the award.
